The hallmark of a barbaric society is
- Destroy more than it creates, if any
- Subjugation as the main principle of life
- Ruthless pursue of its desires without concern for collateral consequences
- Fundamentally flawed ideology and worldview
The defining characteristics of barbarians are not in advancement of their technology, but the raid, pillage, plunder, domination, enslavement, massacre, destruction and see them as the superior way of life. Barbarians are deadly because they can’t be reasoned with, their core belief is the subjugation and destruction of others.
A barbaric society is most feared when it is technologically advanced, which the technology is obtained by sheer probability, coincidences, or by subjugating others and making them to produce the technology for them, bypassing the underlying science, its mental prerequisites and the resulting enlightenments and sapience, which they did not acquire and would unleash tremendously disastrous consequences to everything.
